The Journal of Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development (JAISD), IRCAI’s open-access scientific journal dedicated to advancing knowledge on responsible use of AI for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), has announced, in partnership with UNESCO, a Call for Papers for a forthcoming Special Issue on Artificial Intelligence in the Justice Sector, to be published in February 2026.
The timely issue will explore how AI is transforming legal systems, justice institutions, and the daily work of legal professionals. This special issue follows the successful publication of JAISD’s first issue, AI and Education for Democracy (Vol. 1, No. 1), released in March 2024, which examined how AI can strengthen democratic values through education, cultural preservation, and ethical system design.
JAISD is published in partnership between the Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence under the auspices of UNESCO (IRCAI) and the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS).
