JAISD Collection on AI, Democracy and Public Interest: Building Resilient Digital Futures November 2025

The Journal of Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Development (JAISD) is calling for submissions for a Collection on Artificial Intelligence, Democracy, and the Public Interest: Building Resilient Digital Futures, scheduled for publication in April 2026.

As AI systems become increasingly embedded in public governance, media ecosystems, and civic infrastructures, ensuring that these technologies are aligned with democratic values, institutional trust, and civic agency is more critical than ever. This special collection invites interdisciplinary research exploring how AI can be designed, governed, and deployed to serve the public interest and uphold human rights.

Topics of interest include:
