The Implementation of the Atlas Biospheric Design Center

General description of the AI solution

The project involves 3 stages of AI Solutions: Stage One utilizes existing tools to identify and cultivate a local Impact Ecology with Global Expertise. Stage Two utilizes three existing AI tools to collect and synthesize all of the data streams and begin to convert them into digital twin/spatial representation as an Expert Decision System for Community Leaders to fund critical path initiatives. Stage Three is the creation of the spatial rendering simulation and SDG Resource Library per the European Commissions framework for Demonstrating Systemic Urban Development for Circular and Regenerative Cities. 3. Aspects

Excellence and Scientific Quality: Please detail the improvements made by the nominee or the nominees’ team or yourself if your applying for the award, and why they have been a success.

A synthesized Systems Analysis and Planning Center that integrates Global Climate Data and Risks with Local Physical and Cultural Information. The Atlas Biospheric Design Center would utilize multiple existing AI systems to become an Expert Decision System Platform for Local Communities and Urban Centers to have a Critical Path of Implementation. This Program will see the introduction of sustainable development paths in 200 city regions by 2030.
The quality of AI solution and algorithm is already field tested individually, but needs integration for dynamic application and global scalability.
The status of the technology is that they are being implemented individually and have received acknowledgement and application currently.
In summary, this initiative pulls together and synthesizes fractured global initiatives to analyze, accelerate and enable communities and cities to implement Resilient and Regenerative systems as a new Operating System for Civilization.
Here are some relevant links indicating the need for this kind of Program Center –

Lastly, there is a potential of involving CERN to repurpose their existing Defense Systems AI performing realtime risk assessment and allocating the appropriate weapons systems to analyze other risk dynamics, like climate/extreme weather, to regenerative and resilient solutions/systems.

In summary, we are simply proposing sufficient seed funding to bring together existing systems and resources to create a dynamic and scalable expert decision system enabling the implementation and acceleration of regenerative and resilient systems to be put into place.

Scaling of impact to SDGs: Please detail how many citizens/communities and/or researchers/businesses this has had or can have a positive impact on, including particular groups where applicable and to what extent.

This Platform ultimately addresses all of the SDGs by enabling the implementation of dynamic systems solutions specific to each bio-region and societal systems globally. The use of field tested AI systems to analyze, correlate, and aid in solution design and development overcomes the challenges Governing and Funding organizations need to integrate global climate dynamics with local physical and cultural dynamics agnostically from industry. This platform will enable governing entities to have an authentic resilient and regenerative long range systems plan.
The measurable progress of the AI solutions will be the acceptance of Communities and Governing Systems to implement the planning system provided.
The Platform will be open-sourced and funded through a global/multi-national Trust and operated through a Benefit Corporation for implementation. It has finally been determined that the SDG objectives need to be analyzed and solutions to be generated in City increments. The platform connects real-time global sensory data with local human data streams creating a Collective and Extended Intelligence System that over-writes the limited and siloed operating systems of civilization as they exist today.
The projection of uptake of the AI Solution is global to meet the needs of every city seeking to transition toward the support systems necessary to accomplish all of the SDGs. The platform is dynamic in that it integrates and synthesizes global information with local real time information.
This proposal demonstrates a method and means to overcome and address the complexities and fracturing of the systems of civilization through the creation and cultivation of Global-Local Impact Ecologies. Although we will need to determine the Lighthouse Locations for Pilot implementations, the platform ultimately be able to support a number of UNESCO Member States.
The Global Added Value of this proposal represents the AI development and integration of a system that designs and implements best in class solutions while integrating them across systems to create a coherent and harmonic operating system within our biosphere. A component of the design solution process would be to create local and global AI analytic resources that meet the Data Dignity Requirement of the German Advisory Councils Digital Ecology ( https://www.wbgu.de/en/publications/publication/towards-our-common-digital-future ) and the Earth Charters Principles ( https://earthcharter.org/ ).
In summary, multiple organizations affiliated to UNESCO in some manner are all pointing in a similar direction but need a Program Center to get from problem analysis to solution design and implementation. All of the elements and tools exist, they simply need to be integrated into a solution generation platform. We need the capabilities of machine learning and AI systems to process the quantity and diversity of data to determine critical path plans. This proposal represents a Proactive Initiative to Seed Communities that are Resilient and Regenerative before we move into a Reactionary State from extreme storms and climate conditions that will influence significant challenges.

Scaling of AI solution: Please detail what proof of concept or implementations can you show now in terms of its efficacy and how the solution can be scaled to provide a global impact ad how realistic that scaling is.

Evidence for impact would be measured by the reduction of pollutants and environmental destruction the community currently has with regeneration and reduction of pollution. Other metrics could be measured through a social media layer to indicate wellness statistics. The improvement of environmental and human wellness factors could be established and tracked.
The proposed platform is designed to be dynamic and globally scalable.
The Project would integrate existing customer and end-user applications in addition to the development of an edge-based AI user platform that utilizes gamified methodologies suggested by multiple entities spanning the Forum for the Future, Academia, and social sciences. Initial develops are already underway from CivilX, CanopyLabs, and more that would be integrated into this platform.
The Network Effect is already underway connecting Space Research with Game Development, and the need for Data Dignity from Carriers and User Applications (https://inrupt.com/solid/).
Following my work with the UNEP and the Digital Ecology Initiative, I identified New Zealand as an ideal pilot site for implementation. Spanning their National Governance activities and inclusion of Wellbeing Economic Alliance policy implementation to their Technology Receptivity, added to the receptivity of Maori cultural concerns and efforts toward Nature; it seems like an ideal location politically, geographically, and culturally. Early adoption is represented by the need globally for a solution development platform that can integrate global and local systems into a long range plan for implementation.
It is critical that this system be open sourced and facilitated as a public trust. There may be components of the system that will maintain operational propriety, but will be designed as modular systemically. GDPR and other standards bodies are still debating ethics while the consumer and finance industry implements AI systems conducive to our existing extractive and linear operating system. This initiative offers a counter movement and field development.

Ethical aspect: Please detail the way the solution addresses any of the main ethical aspects, including trustworthiness, bias, gender issues, etc.

Organizationally, this initiative would be funded through a Public Trust (Ecological Sequestration Trust or Other). Operationally, a Public/Private Fund would be created and overseen toward benevolence toward the Commons – Life on Earth. Part of the strategy and intention of implementing the Lighthouse element of this project in New Zealand is that it would represent and address the needs of the Global South initially. New Zealand has deep ties with the Global North through England, a leader in this type of initiative. Additionally, New Zealand is part of the Wellbeing Economic Alliance that spans from the South to the North with progressive leadership to support policy through investment.
The Network Topology and Operating System would utilize open sourced and transparent capabilities while involving the community real-time by linking user interface applications with the design input processes of the center.
This initiative ultimately represents the democratization of data, systems, and resources into distributed systems for energy, food, materials, finance, and network intelligence. Its orientation is toward empathy (collective intelligence) and life support systems for All Life.
This Platform and System will not solve all of our problems. But it will enable us to get beyond the stalemate with complexity that has held up authentic and disruptive change toward resilience and regeneration. It took years and millions of dollars of analysis to acknowledge the inter-relations between the SDGs. Organizational structures are hindered by their vertical structures keeping them from designing integrated systems solutions. We need to overcome those challenges and rapidly move toward implementation. AI tools enable that ability to analyze complex data and develop relevant solutions.
