General Description of the AI tool
Morocco is expected to be among the 20 most water-stressed countries in the world by 2040, with remote rural areas being at greatest risk. Interviews with key stakeholders led us to identify the following two key problems. 1) funding and planning decisions are currently based on outdated, incomplete, and at times contradictory information. 2) There is no metric that compares the criticality of water needs. AquaScore will address both problems by providing a data platform that combines multimodal data from different sources, and leveraging AI to learn a ranking scheme for water criticality.
