3. Aspects

Excellence and Scientific Quality: Please detail the improvements made by the nominee or the nominees’ team or yourself if your applying for the award, and why they have been a success.

The solution would serve all impact startups to forecast their potential impact, while translating their impact into SDG indicators for streamlined common language. Embedding into our donation matching platform, will allow early stage startups to incorporate the SDGs into the foundation of their businesses from the start.

The technology of the Impact Measurement Tool is being developed in partnership with Oxford University Innovation.

This application is submitted to propose partnership with this competition as a route to showcase the award winners on our platform and provide a platform for partners and other organizations to fund the winning and other worthy startups.

Scaling of impact to SDGs: Please detail how many citizens/communities and/or researchers/businesses this has had or can have a positive impact on, including particular groups where applicable and to what extent.

The scale of F4I's work is global, however, below is our partnership proposal:

Specific benefits to an IRCAI/F4I Partnership:

• Showcase winning startups on the F4I platform (all aligned with the SDGs)
• Sustainability of the training after the event by providing funding opportunity
• IRCAI partners can fund the set of projects on a single platform with secure payments
• Dissemination of the event to university hubs, accelerators, incubators globally
• Access to UK universities as a conduit to high impact startups within scope of IRCAI events

We also work closely with our strategic partner, Oxford University Innovation of Oxford University, leading in the latest research on AI and human-machine collaboration.

Overall benefits to partnering with F4I:

• Single point of access to a global network of start-ups that are impact focused
• Quality assurance by sourcing start-ups from leading universities
• Tap into an impact ecosystem with public and private sectors, universities, government, international organizations, and venture philanthropy associations/networks.
• AI driven impact mapping and data forecast/collection – aligned with SDGs/targets/indicators

Scaling of AI solution: Please detail what proof of concept or implementations can you show now in terms of its efficacy and how the solution can be scaled to provide a global impact ad how realistic that scaling is.

F4I began as a pilot based on research conducted by innovation experts about the use of crowdfunding technology to accelerate advancement of the SDGs. Based on the research, the pilot shifted to focus on institutional donors – to make a greater impact for impact startups that have been proven to make an impact globally and drive much of country economies. Now we are funded by the Innovate UK funding impact startups that are spun out of the UK leading university and help them survive and move to investment ready, along with forecasting their impact potential using AI solution for measuring and translate to SDG indicators.

Ethical aspect: Please detail the way the solution addresses any of the main ethical aspects, including trustworthiness, bias, gender issues, etc.

The impact forecast and measurement tool is tied the donation matching platform that sources startups already vetted by universities and innovation hubs in advance of onboarding. However, with growth principles the platform is focused on are inclusion and ethics – ensuring full transparency at all times.
