General description of the AI solution
Arbol uses a unique AI underwriter to price all of its weather insurance contracts to keep premiums as low as possible to make coverage/insurance products more accessible and affordable for underserved farms and businesses. Arbol's platform covers businesses and farms who are exposed to various forms of climate and weather risk (ex. excess rain, drought, etc.)

Arbol uses cutting edge statistical and physical modeling on vast volumes of weather data to understand trends, periodicity, and moments of the weather distribution.
Data from worldwide pressure systems such as NAO, SOI (El Niño), PDO, and other teleconnections provide further confidence to pure statistical projections.
Incorporate regime shifts introduced by climate change effects specific to different locations.

Arbol currently serves nearly 1,000 institutional clients in just the second year of live transactions for the platform. Many of the clients it serves are independent farmers in rural or underserved regions who otherwise would not have access to coverage for various forms of climate or weather risk. Using the AI underwriter, Arbol is able to keep prices affordable, and using a parametric structure, is able to make the coverage process transparent and efficient (guaranteed payouts when data indicates a loss, no claims process, paperwork, or risk adjustors)
