General Description of the AI tool
RuleWatcher is a service that collects primary information issued by public institutions worldwide (governments, NGOs, international organizations, think tanks, etc.) and visualizes it using a unified format and analysis tools. It addresses global issues such as climate change and human rights challenges. By leveraging technology and focusing on human intelligence, it enables users to investigate what discussions are taking place worldwide, what rules are being formed, whether best practices exist, and to understand the interconnections between issues.

RuleWatcher was initially developed as a tool for adults “aiming to solve problems.” However, its usefulness as a tool to help students understand issues and aspire to solve them was demonstrated in classroom settings this year, leading to its nomination for the UNESCO Japan ESD Prize. Plans are currently underway to introduce it in high schools across Japan.
