General Description of the AI tool

The AI tool uses privacy-preserving 3D LiDAR at crosswalks to automatically detect pedestrians and their vulnerability (e.g., walkers, strollers, cyclists, groups). It triggers automatic signal requests, cuts waiting times via early detection, and adapts green phases according to vulnerabilites —boosting safety, accessibility, and traffic flow. No user devices required, GDPR-compliant, robust under multiple weather conditions, retrofit-friendly, and scalable across intersections; supports data-driven urban mobility planning.
